The Fourth of July in Buena Vista, Colorado delivered everything we hoped for! We had lots of sunshine, community celebrations, and unforgettable river adventures. At Noah’s Ark Whitewater Rafting, we spent the holiday weekend sharing the outdoors with families, friends, and first-time visitors looking to experience Colorado at its best.
Downtown Buena Vista kicked off the day with its annual parade, live music, and food vendors that brought the whole town together. People gathered at McPhelemy Park, enjoyed local food trucks, and ended the night watching fireworks burst over the mountains. Just a few minutes down the road, our team at Noah’s Ark welcomed guests for a full weekend of whitewater rafting and ropes course challenges. With warm weather and excellent water conditions on the Arkansas River, it was a pretty awesome week of our summer. Whether guests were joining us for a half-day float through Brown’s Canyon or taking on the more intense rapids of the Numbers, each trip gave people a chance to connect with the outdoors in a memorable way. For many, it was their first time on a raft, and we’re always honored to be a part of that experience.

If you missed spending the Fourth with us, there’s still plenty of time to enjoy everything Buena Vista and Noah’s Ark have to offer. July and early August are some of the best months for rafting and mountain adventures. Water levels are ideal, the days are long, and the high country is full of life.
Whether you’re planning a short weekend trip or a longer Colorado vacation, we’d love to help you make the most of your time in the mountains. Pair a rafting trip with our ropes course or rock climbing, or spend the night at our on-site campground just steps from the Arkansas River.
